Cohoes – a historic river city located just south of the intersection of the Mohawk and Hudson rivers – is a community in transition. While record levels of investment are being made across the river in Troy in revitalize its downtown, the Spindle City is ripe for a turnaround.
Shawn Morse, a Cohoes firefighter and chairman of the Albany County Legislature, announced his intention to seek the office of Mayor in a bid to succeed his uncle, Mayor George Primeau. With an overwhelming Democratic enrollment advantage, winning the Democratic primary is tantamount to being elected due to no Republican or third-party opponent.
Morse’s campaign hired Relentless for public relations, direct mail, and various campaign advertising. Throughout the campaign, Morse projected a positive outlook for the city with a mantra of being a fighter for all the people of Cohoes.
In part to our agency’s efforts, Morse won the Democratic primary in decisive fashion.
